Domain names are the easiest door to reach a portal on the net. Each domain names would be different except those attached to its extensions (e.g. .com, .net. in etc). This is almost similar concept as one has his/her home address! Domain names are usually IP addresses behind the curtains and readable by computer devices. Domains are usually available for ‘rent’. One cannot be a permanent owner for a domain on single purchase, but can be a custodian till the time they pay a nominal user fee every year or multiple years together. Once the present owner is failed to renew a Domain, then it can be available for registration for anyone using the same registration procedure. Hence, it is most important to keep a track on renewal dates of domains one hold, as it is a costly and time consuming process to get back the domain once expired. All domains are issued by the Registrars, who are authorized by ICANN (Internet Committee for Assigned Names and Numbers).
